The launch party for my book was held at Bungalow 8 and it didn't start until 11:30 pm. This was quite a surprise to the publishing world since most book parties begin at a much more respectable hour. But everyone from Simon & Schuster still came to celebrate the launch and hear the one and only Jimmy James perform songs from his album 'Jamestown'.  Amy Sacco was in attendance as well as the cast from "The Real Housewives of NYC'. Jimmy started off his performance with 'Famous' then he sang one of my favorites, 'Summer Sun' before calling me up to thank my publisher for all the effort they put into my book and introduce his final song 'Fashionista'. The next day a party guest posted a video of the performance on YouTube which is a little naughty since photography is technically not allowed in Bungalow 8. Of course, everyone thought Jimmy was amazing and we shared some guacomole afterwards. Little known fact: Bungalow 8 has the best guac in NYC. Simon & Schuster gave books out to the guests and I was flattered when so many people wanted me to sign them. I guess I will have to start perfecting my signature.
